The need
“Killer” is a classic party game: everyone gets a secret target and a secret mission, and must carry it out without getting caught. Preparing the slips of paper by hand takes time, and the organiser knows every secret. KillHer automates it all, with no one needing an account.
What the app does
- The organiser enters the names; each player gets a personal secret link.
- Targets are drawn into a closed chain: whoever eliminates a player inherits their target and mission.
- 51 missions, each unique within the game; a player can draw a different one.
- End-of-game summary with the history of every elimination.
- In French and English; games are deleted after 7 days.
How it’s built
A Dart server compiled to a native program, hosted on Google Cloud Run, with Firestore for game state. No accounts: access works through unique secret links. The server only runs while someone is playing, which keeps hosting costs close to zero.
