LifeLog
Privacy-first health tracking: timeline, calendar and statistics, with daily energy and links between events to spot patterns over time.
The need
Tracking symptoms or health events, such as migraines or pain, takes regular notes and a way to spot patterns. LifeLog lets you log an event in seconds and find it again over time, without sharing your data with anyone.
What the app does
- Log an event in seconds: type, severity, tags, notes, start and end times. Quick-log buttons and shortcuts on the app icon, prefilled with your usual severity and tags.
- Ongoing events: start a migraine now and stop it later, from the timeline or the notification.
- Daily energy (low, medium, high), logged in the app or straight from the daily reminder.
- Timeline with search, calendar and a year view coloured by severity.
- Statistics: frequency, trend, severity, time of day, day of week, common tags, episodes, best and worst weeks.
- Linked events: what tends to come with each type, shown only when it is unlikely to be chance.
- Private data tied to your account, app lock, dark mode, in English, French and Dutch.
How it’s built
Flutter and Firebase, for Android and the web. Statistics are computed on the device; links between events must pass a statistical test (binomial, corrected for the number of factors tested), so coincidences are not presented as patterns. Data is stored per account and protected by the database security rules. Freemium: the advanced insights are part of Premium, with a 30-day trial. The app is still in development: it is live and usable, and new features are on the way.
